Principal's Welcome

Keller Road Primary School is a small school surrounded by beautiful grounds, located 17km north of Adelaide. Our site accesses two large ovals for students to enjoy a range of activities.

It is a dynamic school community, blending a rich diversity of cultures. We offer quality educational learning experiences in accordance with the Australian Curriculum framework. Currently we provide specialist programmes in P.E., Science and Health.

Our Student Wellbeing Leader works in partnership with students, parents and carers, educators, allied health professionals and the wider community to promote and safeguard student wellbeing and optimise learning.

Our Autism Inclusion Teacher provides support to fellow educators on how to best support and educate autistic students and drives improved practice relating to autism that works for our school. Our Autism Inclusion Teacher shares learnings and resources with our staff to use in teaching autistic children and young people in their own classes. This enhances the support we provide to autistic children and young people at our school.

Breakfast Club, supported by Kickstart, is offered Monday to Friday. This is a highly social and successful beginning to the day for those who like to chat over toast and fruit.

Our site includes a Disability Unit, whose students are often integrated into wider school activities, fostering tolerance and acceptance of differences for all students.

We provide a variety of lunchtime activities. Our nature play area offers a rich and diverse experience that encourages children to create free and unstructured play.
Our school priorities are focused on Literacy, Numeracy and Student Wellbeing. These are supported by our active Governing Council. We also have a strong student leadership group who provide a decision-making voice and support for our students.

The curriculum and learning environment are tailored to suit each student. This encourages them to excel and develop their own specific talents. A team of skilled School Support Officers work alongside teaching staff to deliver targeted programmes focusing on literacy and numeracy intervention to support and extend students.

Keller Road Primary School provides up-to-date learning environments with interactive whiteboards or touch screen TVs actively utilised in all teaching areas. We have a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) as well as a new purpose-built STEM facility. We work closely with Partnership schools, including the local High School to implement current research and knowledge in this area.
At Keller Road Primary School, all students are encouraged to reach their personal best and reflect our values of Knowledge, Respect and Success. We provide a strong focus on positive behaviour with emphasis on anti-bullying and a safe learning environment.
