Formative assessment takes place continuously over the school year, to best inform teachers of ways to best design future learning tasks to meet each student’s needs. This can look like conferencing, observing students carrying out tasks, peer feedback, or anecdotal evidence collected during teaching time.
Summative assessment, or formal assessment, takes place each term in the form of online and written assessment.
Reporting, based on both these methods, occurs in the form of reports in terms 2 and 4, and parent-teacher interviews in terms 1 and 3. Families are also welcome to request an interview at any other time.
