Keller Road Primary School is a small school surrounded by beautiful grounds and located 17km north of Adelaide. It is a dynamic school community, offering quality educational learning experiences in accordance with the Australian Curriculum framework. Currently we provide specialist programmes in Science, P.E. and Health.
Breakfast club is supported by Kickstart Monday to Friday. This is a highly successful social beginning to the day for those who like to chat over toast and fruit.
We provide a variety of lunchtime activities. Our nature play area offers a rich and diverse experience that encourages children by making unstructured, free play.
Our school priorities are focused on Literacy, Numeracy and Student Wellbeing and are supported by our active Governing Council. We have a strong student leadership who are a decision making voice and provide support for our students.
The learning environment and curriculum are tailored to suit each student in order to encourage students to excel and develop their own specific talents. A team of skilled school support officers work alongside teaching staff to deliver targeted programmes focussing on literacy and numeracy intervention to support and extend students.
Keller Road provides up to date learning environments with interactive whiteboards or touch screen TVs actively utilised in all teaching areas. We have a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) have a newly developed purpose built STEM facility. We work closely with Partnership schools, including the local High School to implement current research and knowledge in this area.

At Keller Road School we recognise that each student is an individual and in turn has individual needs and abilities.
In every classroom the environment and the curriculum are tailored to suit the individual student and to actively encourage learning. Sensory Integration gives all students the opportunity to explore, experiment and understand concepts through a variety of media. The development of effective communication is a major focus throughout the school.
Each Learning Unit looks and operates quite distinctly from the others as the staff plan to meet the needs of the students.

The Arts is a learning area that draws together related but distinct art forms.
The Arts comprises five subjects:
English is taught through the strands of:
Knowing about the English language.
Understanding, appreciating, responding to, analysing and creating literary texts.
Expanding the repertoire of English usage.
Together, the three strands form an integrating framework of disciplinary knowledge and focus on developing students’ knowledge, understanding and skills in listening, reading, viewing, speaking and writing.
Humanities & Social Sciences is taught through the strands of Inquiry Skills and Knowledge & Understandings. The Knowledge and Understanding strand has the sub-strands of:
Civics & Citizenship (years 3 to 7)
Economics & Business (years 5 to 7)
At the core of Health and Physical Education is the acquisition of movement skills and concepts to enable students to participate in a range of physical activities – confidently, competently and creatively. Students acquire an understanding of how the body moves and develop positive attitudes towards physical activity participation. Students need to be resilient, to develop empathy and to be actively engaged in their own and others’ well-being, using health, safety and physical activity resources for the benefit of themselves and their communities.
Health & PE comprises two content strands:
Personal, social and community health.
Movement & Physical Education.

Number & Algebra
Measurement & Geometry
Statistics & Probability

Science as a human endeavour
Science inquiry skills
The science understanding strand comprises four sub-strands:

Design and Technologies
Students use design thinking and technologies to generate and produce designed solutions for authentic needs and opportunities.
Students use computational thinking and information systems to define, design and implement digital solutions.
